Alev Aydin (born March 17, 1983)[1][2] is a Turkish-American[3][4][5] screenwriter, producer, actor and director known for Small Shots (2017), Controller and HipMen: Los Angeles (2017).
He is most notably known for dating Halsey and being the father of her child, Ender Ridley Aydin, who was born on July 14, 2021.[6]

Aydin was first linked together with Halsey when she shared pictures of the two getting matching tattoos that read "Seeds" on June 22, 2020.[7] They were spotted together shopping for art supplies on October 27, 2020.[8] On January 1, 2021 Halsey posted four pictures of the two to their Instagram story and captioned the pictures "Grateful for you this year and every year, sweets. Seni çok seviyorum." The latter is Turkish and translates to "I love you so much".[9]
The couple confirmed their relationship on January 27, 2021 when Halsey announced that she is pregnant with his child.[10] The two also exchanged "I love you" comments on the posts.[11]
On May 18, 2021 Halsey revealed more about the beginning of their relationship when they were asked about a movie about their life that never happened: "[It never happened] bc alev was supposed to be writing it the past 3 years and we slowly fell in love instead. you know the rest!"[12]
On April 25, 2023, TMZ leaked their knowledge of Halsey and Aydins' amicable break-up, via court documents from Halsey requesting "primary physical custody" of their son and joint legal custody giving Aydin visitation rights. The filing was reported to simply be a “formality” to allow Halsey to freely travel with their son as a touring artist.[13]
