"Honesty" (also registered as "Honestly"[1]) is an unreleased song by Halsey. The song was recorded in 2014 and is most likely an outtake from Room 93 or Badlands.[2] It has never been officially released or performed.
Background[]
The song was first found on her BMI Repertoire on March 28, 2017 alongside "Great Big Feeling" and "Wolf".[1][3] It was speculated to be featured on Halsey's second album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Halsey quickly debunked the theories and confirmed that the songs are "old songs from years ago".[4]
The song got leaked on February 2, 2020.[5] On February 4, 2020 Halsey took to Instagram after finding out about the leak and wrote:
- "Saw some of you sneaks found a leaked demo of mine! 'Honesty’ is 6 years old! But so prophetic!"
